Cool. Would you mind letting be copy your math homework and hand it in before you destroy everything?

There was maths homework? Shit

Oh, God, the queues. Think of the queues!

I literally bought nothing from the canteen in five years. Not because of the queues but, also, the queues were terrible.

Actual footage, colourised.

As far as I can tell, there's no need to participate in this system whatsoever.

The bullies, admittedly, seem fairly random but then you mention that they are leverageable. This implies that they aren't random at all and, therefore, instead draw on traditional tropes (just turned up to eleven). In this sense, it seems like invisibility is not only rational but also default.

Look, how big is this place? There were nearly 2000 pupils in my school... about 435 in an intake year... and from what I remember, it was generally the case that the people I thought were "the popular people" thought entirely different people I didn't know were the popular people... and they, in turn, probably thought completely different things. At a certain point, it's just too big to have a well defined social order.

I mean, there was this one episode where everyone was talking about this dude who we'll call Dragomir, just because. And I was always going, "Like, but who is Dragomir." And then I'm waiting outside, iirc, art, and Dragomir comes up to me and says, "I heard you wanted to meet" like we were part of some kind of underworld. (Obviously in practice it was really awkward... it wasn't like I had anything in particular to say to Dragomir, I was just really confused when mutuals brought him up.)

Hmmm… the size of the school. That’s a good questions. From Google it says:

The national average public school student size is approximately 526 students (2021-22). The state with largest average public school student size is Georgia with 769 students. The state with smallest average public school student size is Montana with 179 students.

Since I was thinking it’s a suburbia and a small community, I’d scale down a bit do let’s say… roughly 400 students.

Do you think there would be an established social order?

1 is essentially my school survival plan NOW, but it becomes basically worthless when there isn't an endgame in sight (final exams). So, what I plan to do is essentially re-enact the game Bully. I'll be on the side of the bullies, UNTIL I reach high enough in their social hierarchy to blow the structure to pieces, and leave everyone disorganised and less effective.

Bada Bing, Bada Boom. Bullying isn't my problem so school isn't hell.

Is that averaging across elementaries, middle and high schools, or is it just for high schools?

In any case, yes, I think about 400 is small enough to have a clear social order.
