I was bored. So I imagined a species of aliens who needed 3 parents. The parents would enter the creational beam and discuss in length why a characteristic they had, needed to be propagated.
When all three were in accordance about every trait, a new member would form in the beam and 4 would leave the beam.
They also had 27.3 earth years per day and would procreate every 2 years (they had 400 days in their year)

What can I say, I was a teenager when I imagined this and this species didn't have genders.
