How will the laws of your country decide the following cases

Postby Sungoldy-China » Sat Sep 11, 2021 1:31 am

At present, the focus of most people in Chinese society is on the following cases.
I would like to know how the cases will be judged in your country :

A woman hired a truck driver to help transport furniture.
When the driver arrived at the woman’s home,
she found that the woman had not moved the furniture out early.
The driver suggested that the woman pay extra for the driver to move the furniture and was rejected.
Therefore, the departure time of the truck was greatly delayed. In order to catch up with the next business,
the driver decided to reject the navigation route proposed by the customer and took a shortcut.
After repeated arguments, the female customer jumped out of the window of the high-speed truck and fell to death due to out of fear.
The driver quickly stopped and called the police. The female customer died after failing to rescue.
The public security's preliminary judgment confirmed that the driver was not guilty and released.
The procuratorate intervened to detain the driver for half a year, rejected the lawyer hired by the driver’s family,
arranged other legal aid, and filed a lawsuit for manslaughter.
At present, the court has made a judgment that the crime of negligence causing death is convicted, and the driver is sentenced to one year’s imprisonment with a one-year reprieve (that is, if the crime is no longer committed within one year after the judgment, the original one-year imprisonment will not be executed)

Some people believe that the driver should be acquitted. The procuratorate was influenced by women’s rights activists on the Internet and forced the driver to plead guilty. The final verdict shows that the court also knows that the driver is innocent, but forcible sentence due to unwilling to embarrass the procuratorate.

Another social hot spot is a female passenger was working in a taxi, she suspected that the driver had prescribed drugs because she was unwell, and scratched the driver’s neck with a knife. The police did not punish the female passenger but compensated the female passenger 1,500 yuan for the female passenger’s failure to catch the plane.

Opponents believe that this is the poison of political correctness in Western society that has penetrated into China,
Activists call on men in these industries to refuse to serve women.

every religious idea and every idea of God is unutterable vileness ... of the most dangerous kind, 'contagion' of the most abominable kind
"every religious idea and every idea of God is unutterable vileness ... of the most dangerous kind, 'contagion' of the most abominable kind. Millions of sins, filthy deeds, acts of violence and physical contagions ... are far less dangerous than the subtle, spiritual idea of God decked out in the smartest ideological costumes ..."

In the US, the movers are the ones that take the furniture out of the home, not the client. The rest of the scenario is null and void.

The second scenario (the woman in the taxi), the woman would have been arrested for assaulting the driver, and would definitely have missed her plane.
Gun control is like trying to solve drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to own cars.

Any accident you can walk away from is one I can laugh at.

Not sure why gender has anything to do with anything. I assume radical feminists have pushed for it but it just makes no sense.

The first case seems to suggest that the driver refused to let the customer out of the moving vehicle(?) If true this might constitue some form of kidnapping. Which in turn might make the driver liable for something but it really depends on circumstance. You can't exactly stop on a mountain highway or the hood of Detroit for instance.

The second case sounds like assault with a deadly weapon(?) You don't stab people in the neck with a knife even if they make you miss your flight.
Whoever said "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink" has clearly never drown a horse.
