They didn’t enforce it and *shock* they just had the highest amount of new infections since covid started.

Do we really need to hear about some city or town pulling the mask mandate?

Its the largest city and capital of Ohio. They had a mask mandate for one of the longest times anywhere in the country. Plus it was enacted and repleted via statute not an executive order by the mayor.

You should focus your effort for covid becoming endemic versus these political responses.

Any country, administrative division or municipality that removed mask mandates or any other restrictions should not have in your view? What are you defining as over?

A question we have asked you over a 1000 times (not exaggerated) but you never answered.
Getting an education was a bit like a communicable sexual disease.
It made you unsuitable for a lot of jobs and then you had the urge to pass it on.

You don’t answer questions put to you so I really don’t have to answer yours.

You don’t end pandemic measures until there is a consensus the pandemic is over.

How could it possibly be anything else? We're talking about the government changing the law.

Biden administration set to extend travel mask mandate for another month.

I fail to see what point this serves were every single state has dropped their mandate as has almost all municipalities. Why not just drop it now?

Because right now we need to keep the virus under control, and dropping masks mandates invites more surges, more potential for a new variant, etc.

So mask mandates should be permanent?

New variants cannot be stopped. Nothing we do can prevent this. What part of this do people not get?

COVID hasn't keeled over yet and kicking the can down the road of removing safety mandates as the states have done won't make COVID disappear.

We don't get it because it's false, Lumen. Honestly, you're just fearmongering.

That is to say, quit doing so.

When did I ever imply that? All I meant was for them to remain in place until new cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are under control, which they aren't right now.

It's impossible with that attitude.

No. That is a lie. You ALWAYS post that.

See lad; people are happy to sacrifice your comforts in order to save lives.

There's a lot of stuff we can do to detect and control the spread of dangerous variants. We should be focusing on getting vaccines to the developing world and helping them with things like testing/sequencing.
