I do hate China, but I also hate kpop. Govt bans aren’t the way to go imo, it’d be better if society as a whole had better taste in music.

I have a thought provoker for you , which party do you all here think is better KMT or the CCP , which party would be able to develop China.

Well the CPP's not practicing socialism per se, it's practicing the "preliminary stage" named "socialist market economy", but obviously, it's just another name for state capitalism. No trust me Mao definitely said, and I quote, "Socialism is when Chinese people are not allowed to stan BTS."

Yeah, right. As if Mao still lived today or what. But I do agree with the message, their "socialism" demands full attention and nationalism from their people, BTS and K-pop distract the youth in meeting those demands.

Ethel mermania wrote:The PRC doesn't care about individual rights, the good of the state is far more important. Femboys and mobile games distract from building socialism with Chinese characteristics. When individual rights are lost, this is what you get.

True. Well, they don't care about the rights of the true workers, instead, they focus on expanding the elite's power to finish their form of socialism. Could this be the catalyst in making young Chinese fed up with the mess the CPP is making?

Not really, but a resurgence. This is the 21st century Cultural Revolution. The CPP needs to purge continuously or else the people will topple them.

So you support a genre of music being banned just because you hate it? Do you really believe in freedom of choice? Because if you do, you wouldn't be this reckless and will put your sentiments in the Internet.

Quick well-meaning question here, you can detect when someone is joking right? I understand a lot of folks have that problem when it comes to the written word because it doesn't properly convey a person's tone and the inflection they put into words. It feels like you're taking what I say way too seriously. I don't actually think socialism is when the government bans fandoms. I don't actually think Mao literally said "socialism is when Chinese people are not allowed to stan BTS."

At first it seems pretty based. It is keeping their youth from squandering too much time on trivial video games makes them spend their time on valuable skills or physical/interpersonal pastimes like sports or card games, which develop cooperation, communication, and physical ability skills. If not that then the time is spent on studying, chores, work, or other productivity. Same thing for fandoms, they're generally full of stans which is a toxic behavior that needs to end. Hell, they can still play on weekends when they are out of school and on holidays. It's an encroachment on personal freedoms, sure, but this is something that has a positive upside to it. Gaming isn't some sort of societal tumor, of course not. I play video games too. However, these measures, while unfair and a breach of civil liberties, prevent people from wasting way too much time on video games. But on the other hand, I think the guidelines are something like only 60 minutes for each of the three days they're allowed to play, which makes it more cringe and less based.

HOWEVER, they part where it invites government access to their devices? That's pretty typical of the CCP, yet still detestable.

Just imagine her as the Hillary of China.

Have a secret relationship with the former mayor of Shenzhen ——Xu Zongheng,
Xu Zongheng was accused of embezzling 2 billion RMB, but only 30 million illegal gains were found
Zhao Wei's current husband, Huang Youlong, was Xu Zongheng's driver at the time,
Many people suspect that zhaowei’s child is actually Xu Zongheng’s

There are as many rumors about her private murder people as Hillary’s .
When a Singaporean media interviewed Zhao Wei ask about if Zhao Wei has a secret. Zhao Wei said the secret is she had killed someone

This kind of person either has her full power forever, or she loses in the struggle and then disappears.

We can judge the seriousness of this internal struggle in China by observing the fate of zhaowei.

The game environment in China is very bad. There are almost no high-quality games, while other big games are all developed for profit. Therefore, some minors will invest a lot of time and money in these lousy games, which is why the games will be banned.

Except for a few occasional single player games, I’ve managed to quit multiplayer gaming. It’s been 3 months and going (haven’t felt any inclination to go back, hope it stays).

I like how it frees up tons of time for writing, drawing and TV shows/movies.

Nothing should be banned/regulated for being distasteful. I'd say the CCP isn't getting crazy, on the contrary. It's doing what it has been doing for decades; limiting personal freedoms and micromanaging what people can and cannot do.

I feel like people in the west who applaud the CCP for these bans and/or ask for more regulations in their countries because they find femboys/gaming distasteful haven't had the military jackboot crush their own freedoms, ever. It will be interesting to see how they'll react if their governments start applying heavy-handed regulations in their hobbies, expressions, or free time activities. A good reminder of what it feels like getting kicked by a heavy boot could make people appreciate their freedoms more.
