Floods in more and more countries

I suspect China may be underreporting the deaths in this latest round of flooding. From everything I've seen it's hard to believe the numbers are as low as they claim.

I would very much like to be wrong about this, of course.

River flooding in China has a lot of cultural significance, historically it's toppled dynasties. It's why Mao swam the Yangtze and why the history of China is filled with huge water control projects including the massive amount of shoddily built dams.

So yeah, they probably want to underplay the damage.

Sad that it takes widespread destruction for more people to take things seriously. I'm hoping action will be taken.

We can't be to fast. It may sound good to stop using fossil fuels immediately but that would lead to the deaths of countless people because of lack of food caused by the end of Food Transportation. We need to cut back as much Fossil Fuels as possible, Plant more trees, and Invest heavily Into Nuclear Power and Alternative Fuels.
