It sort of is though, because the US is a superpower and its just what powerful countries do; which is to throw their influence around to try to nudge the world order towards what it views as most favorable. I love the opportunities for the next conflict or regime change, so long as the US military doesn't need to occupy too long term or otherwise do any wastefully expensive nation building projects.
