Assuming life stays the same as it is now, I'll actually be happy and contempt with life once Covid is over. The only thing I'd really want is more towns in Australia's snowy regions, which is something I would like to build, if someone else doesn't already do so. This would be snow towns which don't serve the ski imdustry. All the current snow towns are mostly there for the ski industry, so it would be cool for some stand alone towns where non-skiiers can go and see snow. It'd also be cool to have a few more of those in my ansestral homeland of Greece. I don't really care who'd build these towns, I'd like to see them built, but I am willing to share ideas I have if anyone were willing and able to build this infrastructure.

When I was young, I wanted to be an urban planner, and sometimes I regret not studying the practice, but then I look at my life and am quite contempt, and wonder if I would have been had I gone down that carrer path. I think I am contempt the way I am now, rather than working an office job. And I definitely never want to go back to university. I'd maybe study it at TAFE (Australia's state owned equivalent of the USA's community college) for a maximum of 6 montus, just as a hobby, if it was offered there, but since it's not, meh.


Anyways guys, what are your dreams and asperations?

I guess I'll repeat the advice I gave after writing the rollercoaster story of my life so far.

So my main advice would be:

1. Look at the hobbies you have. It may be that, just like me, you're not noticing that one of your hobbies could be done as a job.
2. Take care of your health. If any problem arises, get it fixed ASAP, because it will only atrophy over time and eventually fluff you over.
3. Adopt structure and responsibility, or something else that would help you push yourself forward and not give up. Something something Jordan B Peterson.

That’s a complicated question. Well, when I grow up I’m dreaming of finding the right girl and starting a family, although I hardly believe that that’s dream is ever going to come true. I dream of having at least 3 children, although, again, I have my doubts.

Like I said in the previous thread, since December I have been writing my novel full time. 225,000 words into a planned 300k, the draft will be finished and fully edited by the end of October.

Do I have a shot at getting published? I hope. It's quality work and I plan to spend at least the next 5 years of my life writing this series, probably will be 4 books in total.

If we are going with my own personal dreams, I've been following it like a north star and am not super thrilled with the result. Became a journalist and writer, but the pay is garbage for the first and the novel's rewrite is stalled. Live in Britain but the place is precarious and people still see me as a foreigner despite my wishes.

I’m 41, graduated university almost 20 years ago, traveled, worked, lived on my own, married, recently bought a home with my husband, decorated little by little to my absolute liking, and now we’re getting ready to start a family. I’ve done most of what I wanted to do in my youth. I’m content atm.

Anyway, nothing’s changed since the last thread. Still heading to grad school to study forensic science. Hopefully I can get a job after getting my master’s.

I'm 22, teaching and probably teaching abroad come January which was/still is an aspiration of mine. That said, I don't want to do this forever, my overall dream isn't concrete (I'm very open to new things), but that dream also doesn't involve me doing the same thing I'm doing now. I'd prefer to stay in education, but maybe in another capacity if I can afford graduate school here soon.

Used to have political ambitions, then I got way too politically involved, and it filled me with cynicism and bitterness. In other words, I worked on that "aspiration" only to find other people with similar aspirations are often self-absorbed, backstabbing, miserable people.
