the gap between "political leaders don't direct diseases" and "trump is responsible for large numbers of covid deaths" is not as large as one thinks it is
Abolitionism in the North has leagued itself with Radical Democracy, and so the Slave Power was forced to ally itself with the Money Power; that is the great fact of the age.

The triumph of the Democracy is essential to the struggle of popular liberty

Florida Gov signs law requiring students, faculty be asked to declare their political beliefs.

I don’t see how this is constitutional.

What are they going do with this?

Are they going to kick out democrat students in a republican school? Or republican students in a democrat school?

Considering that what passes for a "left" wing in the USA is considered moderate rightwing in most of western Europe; I daresay that statement is incorrect.

Indoctrination at the collegiate level has always been a dogwhistle for conservatives. What it sounds like is if there are too many democrat professors and students; then obviously they are being indoctrinated and thus loose funding.

I suspect if the school was largely conservative and republican; there would be no funding cuts let alone threats.

What a student or professors politics be; is their own business.

Some people are incredibly resilient. Roland Weyl, born in 1919, who participated in the Resistance, was still pleading for humanitarian causes and defending victims of war crimes in 2019, when he was 100 years old ! Sadly he died a few months ago (not due to Covid) :(

But yeah sure, Giuliani isn't at all like him.

Covid doesn't spread magically. It spreads mostly through the air when people are concentrated at the same place, especially indoors and if not wearing a mask. Political leaders can have a lot of positive or negative impact on the spread of the virus, by imposing mask mandates, closing schools and businesses, or helping them to install ventilation and hand sanitation systems, ... or he can make fun of those wearing masks, organize maskless indoor rallies, and tell people to drink bleach.

With any luck, students will organize to mess up their results so Tallahassee is left with a useless report that says 95% of all university students support ISIS.
