The GOP base isn't loyal to Raytheon, and while some of the more establishment types are, the new wave of Qanon influenced politicians are probably not.

I’m not saying there is going to be one, I don’t think there is. But there’s a good chunk of the GOP that openly wants a civil war and will do anything to get it. There’s a bunch of them who want nothing more than to kill liberals and anyone who opposes them

FDR very much did not face that. He was able to actually bully SCOTUS into allowing anything and everything unconstitutional he did, Biden would not be able to do the same. You'd have a hoard of Q types descend on Washington again and they'd probably be armed this time.

The conservative Democrats in opposition to FDR's bill banded together and killed it while Republicans watched on the sidelines. After major wins in the 1938 Congressional election, the Republicans allied with the conservative Democrats to veto many proposals led by more liberal Democrats. The Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 was the last major New Deal legislation enacted into law.

Never say never. I mean something like 2/3 of southern Republicans now support secession. Funnily enough in the Heartland it's the independents most firmly in support of secession and that's reaching 40%+ iirc.

This point cannot be reiterated enough. People think the federal government is weak because the past several years has shown nothing but crippling weakness from it. Like, if we can't beat a bunch of illiterate farmers and shepherds with antiquated and improvised gear after trying for nearly 20 years then I don't have much hope for us putting down a home grown insurgency if the GOP decides to start one.

Leveling the Rockies was long overdue anyway, we haven’t had big enough projects for the Army Corps of Engineers as of late.

Smuggle? Can they bypass the US Navy? After all, can't smuggle into the US (whether by land or by sea) if your weapon crates lay at the bottom of the sea.
