I love hot weather. I spent my first 25 years of life in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. Back then I'd bitch about the heat and humidity like everyone else, and it getting cold was usually fun because it's a novelty. A cold front can come and make it 32F/0C for a day or two but the next week it's back to 70-somethingF / 20-somethingC.

But the last 5 years I've lived in Germany and I miss Florida weather so much, and I love when a heat wave comes (even though my apartment doesn't have AC, I've learned how to keep it cool).

I guess what I really love is sunlight, the sun shining on me. I love a perfectly sunny 30C day but if given the choice between 30 and cloudy and 20 and sunny, I'd take 20 and sunny. I love walking under the sun, I did about 12 kilometers yesterday, I just put on my thinnest clothes and pop in my headphones and wander.

Anyway, the whole climate change thing. Yeah, objectively it's a catastrophe and it's going to fuck this planet hard. BUT me enjoying the heat isn't going to put more carbon in the atmosphere so I'm going to keep enjoying the heat.

I'm not going to feel bad about it, I have seasonal affective depression on top of normal depression, the summer months are when I feel the most alive.

I could see an exodus of people flocking to mountain towns out there and out of cities like Phoenix, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, etc etc that regularly see blazing temps because of their low elevation profiles.
