Isn't it like 95% alcohol? I assumed if you drank it, one shot would leave you wasted.

I guess if used as a hand sanitizer it would, but it will also clean your bong real good.

Can everyone here remember the first drink they had in a bar?

Mine was pretty memorable. I was doing an exchange to Italy in high school and we went to a bowling alley that had a bar and then only hung out at the bar (I assume that the bowling alley bit was a ruse by our hosts so they could pretend they weren't just taking us out drinking). I ordered a B52 with one of my friends, which the bartender served in a martini glass, set on fire and gave us straws. Our mission was to drink the drink before the straw melted. I succeeded, she did not (she had to blow the drink out and drink from the glass).

I've had many B52s since, but none have been served on fire, so this place was pretty special.

I drink enough when I drink that I couldn't mistake the buzz of the company for the alcohol. When I drink, most times my BAC is somewhere between .10 and .14.

Rubbing alcohol is cheaper, but doesn't mix with Hawaiian punch as well.

A G&T. I was at a bar with my grandmother when I was 6 or 7 or something, she'd ordered it for herself but got it mixed up with the lemonade she'd bought for me. Not that I drank much before she noticed that something was wrong with her drink.

First drink in a bar..... I was underage drinking 25 cent a glass Genesee cream ale, in a fairly sleazy roadside bar.

I've tried alcohol a few times and have consistently hated it (indescribably weird and repulsive in my taste). That's entirely separate from considering its legality, which from the perspective of where I am now, am supportive of having it legal with regulations.

If I lived in a society which only recently discovered alcohol though, I can only imagine what I would think of this new drinkable drug.

Alcohol causes more problems than it is worth. That being said, as people generally drink for the effect of ethanol, if it were criminalised or at least taxed highly while harmless substances such as cannabis and LSD were made completely legal in all aspects for adults and I guarantee you will see a steep drop in all sorts of crime. This was the major problem with prohibition in the US; people had no other outlet to relieve tension.
