If China had high COVID numbers, people like you would be like "LOOK SEE THE VIRUS IS OUT OF CONTROL THEYRE NOT CONTROLLING IT PROPERLY" then when they have low numbers, you would say "theyre lying" which is exactly what you are doing rn. If you go to China (which I doubt you would), you can see that they've been out of lockdown for many many months. Little outbreaks here or there, but people aren't getting sick en masse and the hospitals are fine. "how do you know they're not lying" is a lame excuse for a bad COVID response from the american gov and distracts away from the actual issue of caring for people's health.

This is the truths about what is happening. China has been opened and normal for months now while the rest of the world struggles to keep its people under control.

A Wuhan lab accident in October 2019 caused the lab to shut down for a month. At least 3 lab workers were hospitalized from October through November of 2019. Their government did not even disclose the nature of the accident to hospital workers who got infected also.

The best protocol domestically speaking would be to really double down on future pandemic preparedness. Never know when it'll happen again in our lifetimes. For the sake of our sanity and waistlines, lets hope not.

what most people (i think) are interested in, is the facts. which will probably be difficult to extract given that trying to investigage something in china that the government doesn't want you too is like, impossible, but i think even the CPC knows that they're just delaying the inevitable. i bet there will be an investigation before next year
