They claim the building also housed Hamas Military Intelligence. If that is the case they should be able to produce evidence to prove their claim.

You've been saying for the entire thread that the Palestinians should be bombed because they "brought it on themselves" by voting for Hamas, right?

just the other day I stubbed my toe on my Hamas base

Im saying not saying that.
When you say the government and people are identical your not making a distinction between the two.
Herzpunkt wrote:Wallenburg wrote:Both of you are being rather simplistic of the matter. Hamas is an organization with a great deal of influence over the Palestinian Authority. It is the de facto government of Gaza, where there have not been elections since 2006. Even in the fantasy world where Turkey invades Israel or Gaza, drawing a distinction between Hamas and the government of Palestine as if they are totally separate entities is to refuse to recognize the reality of power in the country.
Seperating hamas from the palestinian people basically removes palestinian responsibility for puting them into positions of power.
Everyone here is crying about power disparity, well Hamas has power disparity in Palestine, its their ball and court

No, i said they were more at fault because they literally inflamed the conflict.
The fact that they are more powerful implies they have a responsibility to use it well and not excessively. They have not done that. They’ve instead elected to kill and destroy en mass and that is worth criticizing them for.
the Palestinians elected Hamas to kill and destroy en mass, they just are less capable at it, but it's not for lack of trying.
again, if two ethnic cleansing forces are at each others throats, any sense of "moral" superiority sort of goes out of the window.

Because the Palestinian people elected them to represent them...wtf...

Like it's pretty clear you believe that electing a group makes you responsible for all of its actions, so how do you apply that to the Palestinians but not the Israelis?

I saw a small tree growing in my garden today that I hadn't noticed before. I immediately called Mossad and said I think there's a Hamas base out in front of my house. They said "we advise you go stay in a motel for a few days. We'll try to minimize damage to your house but we aren't good at that."

"Sir, the threat is gone. we have destroyed the Hamas base along with your house and the whole neighborhood. You may now rest in peace in the rubble or something."
