The defendant Khanzat (English name: YUSSUPOVKHANZAT), male, born on 11 March 1983, of
nationality of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
University education, active military service, residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
He was detained on 30 September 2017 on suspicion of rape and arrested on 14 October of the same year. He is currently detained in Nanchang City Detention Centre No. 1.
In late September 2017, Defendant Khanzat, a member of the Kazakhstan State Military Band, and victim Boumou , a member of the United States Military Band, were both invited to Nanchang City to attend the International Military Music Festival with the group.
In the early hours of around 29th of that month, Boumou talked and drank with Russian National Military Band members Imao and Khanzat at a party on the ground floor of the Wanda Pullman Hotel and Wanda Jiahua Resort in Honggu Tan, Nanchang.
At around 03:40 hours, Boumou and Imou came together to room 632 of the Wanda Jiahua Resort Hotel, where Boumou was staying, and had sex.
At around 0430 hours, Imou left room 632 and returned to the ground floor.
When Khanzat was talking to Imou, he learned that the two had just had sex and learned the room number where Boumou was staying.
At around 0520 hours, Khanzat entered room 632 of the Wanda Jiahua Resort and had sex with Boumou , who was sleeping.
Immediately upon awakening, Boumou put a stop to Khanzat's behaviour. After identification, Khanzat's sperm spot was detected on the underwear worn by Boumou.
