I've been kind of sick this past week. I've been having a dull ache on the upper left side of my abdomen. I've also been nauseous, achy, fatigued, and all-around just not feeling good. Today I went to the doctor and had bloodwork and she's ordered an ultrasound.
The reason why I'm sharing this is because I'm kind of scared. I don't know what's going on with me. I've never had anything like this. I mean, it'll probably come back that I've just had a nasty virus (not covid; we've ruled that out since I've not had any respiratory symptoms), but I can't help but feel this overwhelming sense of dread.
I'll let everyone know as I learn more about what's going on.

At least you've been to see a doctor (who can do what no internet person can and diagnose you).
In the meantime, sending sympathy (because it sucks to be sick) and wishes to get well soon.Ethel mermania wrote:This is the internet, its cancer, Its always cancer on the internet.
This is why you do not check symptoms with Dr. Google.
Check "headache", it will give you "brain tumour". Check "spots", it will give you "septicaemia". It is only useful when you have been diagnosed with something.

Incidentally, leukemia popped up as one of the search results when I made the mistake of googling my symptoms. Which just made the stomach pain that much worse because I started getting anxious even though I’m 99% certain it’s not leukemia. The Free Joy State wrote:I'd make a similar joke, but I'm waiting for surgery and nervous about tempting fate.
Oof what kind of surgery?

So the CCP won't let me be or let me be me so let me see, they tried to shut me down on CBC but it feels so empty without me.

Nevertopia wrote:Xmara never google your symptoms. A lot of illnesses share symptoms, it takes a doctor to contextualize those things. Thats the difference between brain freeze or rabies.

My gallbladder? Yeah, that’s what my mom suggested. Which wouldn’t be too surprising because she’s had her gallbladder removed, almost all of her siblings have had theirs removed, and her mom had hers removed.
Only thing is, doesn’t gallbladder disease usually affect people over 40? I mean, everyone I know who’s had theirs removed had the surgery after they turned 40.

500 years ago, the universe saw an apocalypse that destroyed most spacefaring lifeforms caused by self-replicating machines, the universe went into a dark age until species that weren't advanced enough for the machine-swarm to detect started travelling into space. It is now the 23rd century, the universe is currently at 'peace'. Will this 'peace' last, or will this new universe end up like the last one?

No, I have a friend who had it done at 28. She was one of the first in the states to have it done Laparoscopically
