my bet's on all three tbh but russia is probably the main supplier
nobody really has anything to gain from an NRF victory besides the afghans, iranians, and the russians; the PRC and pakistan would benefit from a taiban regime and the US can't benefit anymore although it would benefit from the old govt. being reinstated

Honestly, I believe India and Tajikistan have their hands in this.

After confirmed intra-Taliban clashes, Taliban central arrested Makhdoom Alem (Uzbek) for reasons unknown, likely to do with the clashes. Since then, Uzbek Taliban protested in Faryab, taking the provincial capital, Maymana, and forcing Pashtun Talibs out of the city after a series of clashes.

Situation still developing but looking extremely interesting.

Makhdoom's status and further information still unknown. But that doesn't stop NRF troglodyte Latif Pedram from trying the start his much anticipated race war against Pashtuns.

Makhdoom's status still unclear. Either he's released, arrested in Mazar I Sharif, or arrested in Kabul. Faryab appears to be under control again after Taliban sent in stormtroopers.

The picture is a section from the article explaining why US forces would want such weaponry, and it's place among our allies. Mind, I don't believe the US is providing those weapons, but it's not actually impossible. (Another note to make about weaponry that was designed during a period where Nationstates weren't sure they wouldn't get obliterated from afar is the relative ease of production. It's not "easy" to make the weaponry, but the US could probably get a few factories to do so if it *really* needed it)

They shot down an airliner over Eastern Ukraine and then denied they did it, even though the missile came directly from Russian soil. Russia dying things they're obviously doing isn't exactly an unheard of phenomenon.
