yes, I've seen this bullshit complaining about the "Karen" being a slur before. Let's set aside the fact that there are male Karens out there and let's only assume that there are female Karens. It's not true, but let's assume for argument's sake that it is. Karens are usually abnoxious, racist, rude people who think they're better than everyone else. Karens like to harrass low income customer service people or people of other races. Examples of Karens include, but aren't limited to, the woman who tore down her neighbour's Australian Aboriginal flag in Mildura, Australia, the Karen who walked into a hardware shop and harassed a female employee (yes, the victim of the Karen was female) when asked to wear a mask at a time when masks were compulsory, etc. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable, and I'll continue to criticise people for that kind of deplorable behaviour, and I could give a fuck if someone is stupid enough to think that I'm sexist because of it

"Karen" is a gendered slur because it's a woman's name and whether you intend it to always mean "entitled and demanding woman" cannot change that fact. It does have a gendered connotation when absent any other gender cues it's a woman's name.

I think male Poles (or similar) are sometimes named Karen. Maybe you should have gone with that.

Not only still a thing, Australia's largest supermarket (though the Victoiran equivalent of Safeway has been rebounded as Woolworths) Which other country has Woolworths and calls it "Woolies"? I would have thought you were referring to NZ, but they call it "Countdown"?

As to the OP, as someone else pointed out it's most likely a database issue grabbing the wrong picture. As to the lady complaining did she take the time and send an email to the company and say hey item x is displaying the wrong picture? It seems she's had a year to brood about it.
