And fun fact, Peppa Pig creator Mark Baker was educated at the National Film and Television School, founded in 1971 by the Department of Education and Science meaning that... technically... if you squint a bit... the government did come up with Peppa...

I would like to congratulate the Prime Minister on his unforgettable speech at the CBI today; it's an occasion that will likely live long in the British political memory.


I can't remember watching a British government casually throw away its political capital and casually commit slow political suicide like this for a very long time, if ever. It's simultaneously slightly appalling and profoundly fascinating.
