While I did feed into this threadjack, tax policy is not the topic of the thread, so can we end that derail here?

Yeah, ever heard of the IRS? Al Capone got taken down because of tax evasion and even the Joker didn't want to mess with them. Now imagine if they are fully funded to go after the fat cats... which is something Biden plans to do. https://thehill.com/policy/finance/5473 ... irs-budget

The rich are far too heavily taxed all over the West.

The rich in the USA are currently paying a lower percentage of their taxes than the middle and working classes. The rich are taxed nowhere near enough.

Tax havens all over the globe are licking their lips. The IRS can have as large a budget as it wants, but if Biden would like to get at the money that isn't being collected because of perfectly legal tax schemes then he's going to have to change the law. Do you think that even the current democratic party fancies going after these schemes, especially given how many of their corporate backers make a lot of money from them?

The ruling class will never voluntarily tax itself more or let the working class work less. And no, you can't vote yourself out of it, since all the candidates will be cut from the same stock and all the information is controlled by a professional priesthood.

Then cut wasteful areas? The military, social security and the various social programs that the US currently has are exercises in wastefulness. It is still the case that private investment will create a higher return for your retirement than social security would.

Those common sense proposals? Because all of those sound awful and idiotic to me, and not at all common sense.

I'm not a fan of border control but I liked a lot of his other proposals.

Border Control is necessary so terrorists don't come in to the USA and Illegal Aliens don't come into the USA.

Yellen is pushing for a global minimum tax right now within the G20 countries, making global tax evasion harder. And yes, the Dems have raised taxes for the rich in the past, from FDR to Obama. Biden is no different, he has proposed to raise the corporate tax rate to pay for his infrastructure plan.

A much more sensible method of paying for it would be to privatise the majority of the road network and create a larger number of toll roads.

B-b-but the Communists are destroying the moral fabric of society! Communism Bad! Fake news! All Live Matter!, etcetera, etcetera...

Not surprised in the slightest, this is what happens when you constantly point the finger to the people wanting to be treated like people as the "real" threat and ignore the people going "Wah wah wah, Jews and Black people scare me! We need to get rid of them! Corporations have brainwashed me into thinking this so I would be distracted from real issues I came to this conclusion by myself when I saw Tucker Carlson talking about BLM protests on Fox News!"
