However, I've always admired him for speaking his mind with absolutely no filter, sensitivity, or care for consequences- a certain special kind of courage present in those with prominent positions, titles or fame. After reading through his life and several more of his quotes, this sentiment and my respect and honor for him as a person has only increased. While many of his comments and opinions I quite disagreed with, the manner in which he delivered them was simple, humorous, and clever, and in our modern age of oversensitivity and "cancel culture", a voice like his is greatly appreciated.

My thoughts are with his grieving family, particularly his widow and children.
