So what if he's husband of the head of state? He's a human being, just like us.

Not everything in the world is meant to be nice. Just because he was a person (at that, a person who made his way by marrying arguably the most powerful monarch in the world at that time) who died and has family doesn't entitle you to your own pity party. If being a human being is the only prerequisite for respect, we'd be respecting the likes of Adolf Hitler (Note: In no way am I making the claim that Prince Philip is in any way worse than Hitler).

What are you smoking?

I still think Prince Charles and a few of the other Royals have leftists social and political views, but many of you here tell me I am wrong, If I am I apologize to them right here and now on this thread. I will start to read up on them, if you can provide any links to read, thank you? GMS.

The monarchy is above politics; neither the monarch nor the heir articulate political positions. And it's rather hard to argue that someone whose entire life is dedicated to eventually becoming the next monarch is a 'leftist'.

The Prince of Wales does, however, hold a range of patronages, and supports many initiatives. You can read about some of them on his own website:

https://www.princeofwales.gov.uk/

But please remember that this thread is for discussion of the death of Charles's father, not whether championing sustainability is somehow 'leftist'.
