To be clear, I don't mean people who actually have positive opinions of him. I mean the people who want to turn this thread into a screaming match about Harry and Meghan, who want to loudly and publicly tout the greatness of the late Duke, not because they are familiar with the things he achieved in life and feel he earned such laurels, but because the battle lines of their culture war happen to have shifted that way. I don't mean to suggest that all expressions of respect and admiration are insincere, but there is a feel of plastic to some of them.
