It does pose a bit of a problem with regard to the state having a monopoly on the legitimate use of force under ordinary circumstances. It's also a bit questionable to hit someone for having a stupid opinion or saying a stupid thing. That said, if we're going to discard the state as a mechanism for negotiating political disagreements, theoretically, the shorter path would be large-scale purges of those outside the Overton window approved by the state. Which does have pretty amusing, after a dark fashion, implications for my state rooted in compulsory wholesomeness. And, no, I'm not advocating for purges.

Btw hispanics didn't build this country? I walk past the construction crews and road workers and I drive by the farms in the rural areas of my state and all the workers are latinos.
