A Judge has ruled that the CDC doesn't have authority to issue an eviction moratorium. This would have ended on June 30th but it remains unclear what happens now. This moratorium has protected millions during the pandemic and would be a considered a win for Landlords looking for payments. Some courts have ruled in favor of the CDC on this issue while others haven't, showing there's an inconsistency on the issue.

Well, it's not a surprise anymore and it's a well-known fact regarding the party. But as if you can guess, the FB Decision has enraged Trumpworld and the GOP, who are now threatening regulations. Trump seems increasingly likely to run again too, but if the ban remains in place, it will probably hurt Trump in a few ways:

1. His Fundraising would be limited as Facebook was a big fundraiser for him. He can try to do it through his own website but that could be limited.

2. It could limit his impact on elections & endorsements, showing that his reliance for Social Media to be viable is a must; we're already seeing some local races where people aren't hearing from him as much and that's effecting opinions and possibly eroding support.

Of course, this will cost Facebook Millions of dollars in revenue, but I do feel if Zuckerberg recognizes the danger- and that's iffy at the moment- then I think they'll take the lost in revenue.

Trump jumps into the Liz Cheney struggle

Former President Trump and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise are openly supporting Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) to replace Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) as House Republican conference chair.

The latest: "Liz Cheney is a warmongering fool who has no business in Republican Party Leadership," Trump said in a statement. "Elise Stefanik is a far superior choice, and she has my COMPLETE and TOTAL Endorsement for GOP Conference Chair. Elise is a tough and smart communicator!"[...]“House Republicans need to be solely focused on taking back the House in 2022 and fighting against Speaker Pelosi and President Biden’s radical socialist agenda, and Elise Stefanik is strongly committed to doing that, which is why Whip Scalise has pledged to support her for Conference Chair,” Scalise’s spokesperson Lauren Fine said in a statement.

Scalise told Axios late last month that the "idea that you just disregard President Trump is not where we are, and, frankly, he has a lot to offer still."
The other side: "Liz will have more to say in the coming days. This moment is about much more than a House leadership fight," Cheney spokesperson Jeremy Adler said in a statement.

Truly sad that's her priorities. Its a near certainty she gets reelected as she remains popular. South Dakota has not elected a Democratic governor since Richard Kneip won reelection in 1974.

The last Democrat to serve was Harvey Wollman who became Governor when Kneip resigned to become Ambassador to Singapore. Wollman was defeated for renomination in 1978 primary.

South Dakota's streak of Republican governors is the longest period of single party control of all fifty states.

Liz Cheney is quite known for being a massive hawk and when she worked in the state department actively sought to conduct covert operations against Syria and Iran even while the Bush II administration was trying to work with them to stabilize Iraq. That she is being defended is hilarious also given her past support for Obama birther supporters and being a pal of the Center for Security Policy.

Funny? Wrong label.

It’s more from the ex-President and his administration being such a shit show; she sounds like the voice of sanity.

It's not just mining, it's the idea in general that the lands should be returned that has people step back even though that is what should be done.
