I don’t even see Tariq alleging the Holiday Inn worker of racism. Tariq was just being a Karen and was publicly shaming someone for having a mental health breakdown in public. What a fucked up moral compass Tariq has.

Nowadays, after the reign of terror aka the Trump presidency, I'd worry about America going ballistic and threatening to fire all the nukes at everyone if the ICC took one of the former presidents into custody.

This is the opposite side of the spectrum from the "racism doesn't exist anymore" people. It pisses me off because I've actually experienced some racist shit and then some professional baiter like Tariq comes along and says "everything is racist. Some guy asked me if I was having a bright day so I said 'bright day? Is that an insult against me for being black?'"

People don't dislike Tariq Nasheed for his skin color. They dislike him because his brain's neurons fire less often than I get time to myself. Frankly him cyberbullying a gay man and pretending somehow this is a race issue and he's the REAL victim reaks. Stop trying to drag black people into it Tariq. This doesn't involve them all, and I think they're getting tired of you hiding behind them everytime you're making a point or having an argument.

You know, there used to be a US military base in Manta, Ecuador. Friends from Ecuador told me that once a local girl went to the police to fill charges because she was raped by a US soldier. The police just told her "sorry, but the terms under which the US military base in Manta operates forbids us from prosecuting the soldiers, we can't help you". And I don't think that was an isolated incident. So when Rafael Correa took power in 2006 did the only sensible thing - he kicked the US military from Manta. And even included in the new Constitution that foreign military bases are not allowed. Of course, Ecuador was punished for it.

I'm shocked someone hasn't tried to knock out of power grid yet in some last ditch attempt to bring down the US.

This is very dependent upon which country the soldier is operating out of. That soldier would definitely get prosecuted for commiting any crime while stationed in Ecuador, but as per an agreement with the Ecuadorian government, he would be prosecuted under UCMJ ( Uniform Code of Military Justice ). It's not like he was getting off free, or even easy. Especially recently.

Oh, sure, in theory he would be prosecuted by the US military. In practice, it's already hard enough for a victim of rape to go see her local police, she'll never face all the burden and complicated process of trying to sue the soldier in front of US military justice, that'll very likely not give much attention to the saying of a local girl, and it's very exceptional for US soldiers to get into trouble, even when they do things like posting selfies or bragging about their crimes on social networks, it just won't happen in a "she says"/"he says" situation.

Two mayoral primaries were held in Mississippi yesterday.

In Hattiesburg Lakeylah White won the Democratic nomination and will face incumbent mayor Toby Barker on June 8th who is running as an independent. She will be the cities first female mayor if she wins.

In Vicksburg Troy Kimble won the Democratic nomination and will face incumbent mayor George Flaggs who is also running as a independent along with another independent Daryl Hollingsworth in the general election June 8th.

We still don’t have results from CT HD-145 which contains most of Stamford. The incumbent was elected to the state senate.

Ew Afrocentrism. The people who complain about culture appropriation while literally stealing ancient history and saying it's theirs (ie the olmecs were black allegedly).

https://fox8.com/news/ex-homeless-man-w ... -governor/

A once-homeless Ohio man whose smooth radio voice made him an Internet sensation a decade ago says he’s running for governor as a Democrat.

Ted Williams was propelled into the spotlight in 2011 after appearing in a video by The Columbus Dispatch panhandling on a highway ramp with a sign advertising his golden voice.

The video’s millions of views led to national television appearances and earned Williams numerous voice-over jobs.

He’d have my vote if I lived in Ohio.

Does he have a chance ? Ohio was once a swing-state, but it seems to be pretty deeply Trumpized those days :/

It seems like much of the Midwest has become Trumpized since 2016. Idk what happened but nowadays I feel like I'm in the south, and I don't like it.

True but it remains to be seen how many of those people turned out specifically for Trump. We saw a large drop-off in Northern Georgia in the runoffs.

Didn't Bush threaten to invade The Hague if any US service member was ever indicted by the ICC ?

Bush signed a law popularly known as the Hague Invasion Act, authorising the President to use all means necessary to free US or allied personnel from the ICC. More than just Bush, the official and current position of the United States is pre-emptively threatening to invade the Hague.

A former intern is accusing New York City Comptroller and mayoral candidate Scott Stringer of sexual abuse and harassment.

She says Stringer touched her sexually, without consent, and made multiple advances toward her.

She also says he offered her a role as district leader to not tell anyone.
