I love traveling via rail. I have some great stories from traveling via Amtrak.

I could tell about the time I took Amtrak from Burlington, VT to Durham, NC, and there was a blizzard and we killed two people and the conductor had to borrow my GPS to get us to the train station and gave me homemade fudge.

Beyond expanding the Amtrak network, we really need a nationwide high speed rail.

I read a while back serious evidence-backed speculation that there's actually something wrong with Ted Cruz's face; that one of the reasons that literally everybody hates him, even his political allies, who haven't got a moral fiber between them, is that his facial expressions are off just enough that he triggers uncanny-valley revulsion in normal human beings.

Personally, I think it's because he's actually a lizard person from Zeta Reticuli in a rubber suit.
