So, move out of the country and go to Ukraine or Russia, maybe join mafia organizations in Ukraine or Russia?

Some of Louisiana’s important legislation which was signed by the governor includes the following:

* A bill of rights for children in the foster system, ages 14-18, has been instated.
* An office of human trafficking prevention was instated.
* Teachers are now required to receive training on adverse childhood experiences and trauma-informed education.
* The early voting window for presidential elections has been extended.

A bill of rights? What does that get them?

Let me give this a closer look…
https://lailluminator.com/2021/05/18/a- ... o-passage/

This link is from a few weeks ago, when it was still being put through the State Congress.

A quick summation from the article:
If passed, SB 151 would establish the “Foster Youth’s Bill of Rights” — including the rights to receive an education, religious freedom, privacy, freedom from discrimination and freedom of expression — for teens ages 14 through 18 in foster care throughout the state. The bill also allows foster youth the right to attend all court hearings regarding their care and “participate in all case plan meetings,” according to the legislation.

Yes starting a nuclear war is kinda the point. You said you’re willing to do anything. Nuking China and India would solve pollution pretty quickly. And would cause a year without a summer.

We could also get Krakatoa to erupt again. That would also cause a year without a summer

Dropping nuclear weapons against my friends from China and stating it's not a war crime?

It is a war crime. No matter what you want to say, it is a war crime. But I do agree that 'war crimes really don’t matter to nuclear powers.' and however... dropping a nuclear weapon without any prior context or of substantial reason, makes no sense, what kind of grudge do you hold against China? Did they hurt your feelings?

Both indications they want to hide something.

Of course, the goal could also just simply be discouraging the use of machines and creating more distrust of the voting process.

Citgo to pay $19.7 million fine for 2006 Louisiana oil spill

Texas-based Citgo Petroleum Corporation has reached a settlement with the Justice Department and Louisiana to pay $19.69 million for a major oil spill in June 2006 near its wastewater treatment facility in the state.

On Thursday, the government file both a federal complaint and a consent decree in which Citgo agreed to pay for natural resources damages under the Oil Pollution Act and the Louisiana Oil Spill Prevention and Response Act.

On June 19, 2006, a severe rainstorm overwhelmed the company’s storage tanks, pushing millions of gallons of oil wastewater into a containment area in Lake Charles. About 54,000 barrels of waste oil then leaked into southern Louisiana waterways like the Indian Marais waterway, the Calcasieu River, and the Calcasieu Estuary. The spill caused catastrophic damage to the region, exposing nearby workers to hazardous waste and wreaking havoc on the estuary system where locals source their fish.

“The discharged oil killed birds and fish and other aquatic life and contaminated aquatic and shoreline habitats,” the complaint states. “Oil traveled downriver from the refinery as well as upriver due to tidal influences.”

But the spill also put locals at risk.

“Refineries have huge areas that really negatively impact the community, particularly the African American communities in the area,” Wilma Subra, technical adviser for the Louisiana Environmental Action Network, said in a phone call. “A lot of those communities survive by fishing and harvesting from the estuary itself.”

The settlement is the latest development in the ongoing legal battle stemming from the spill. In 2012, Citgo was sued by 14 construction workers after they were injured by noxious fumes emanating from the spill while working at another refinery nearby.

“While oil and gas producers are a major source of employment in Louisiana, they have a sacred obligation to protect our environment and use our resources wisely,” U.S. Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook of the Western District of Louisiana said in a statement. “This settlement sends a clear signal that those who pollute our environment will be held accountable.”

Citgo isn’t the only oil company in the area. There are over a dozen petrochemical plants and refineries around Lake Charles, many of which have caused similar damage to the waterway over the years.

“They’ve completely surrounded the estuary,” Subra said. “So, any releases they have will immediately contaminate the estuary. And then there’s the ship channel, which then carries the contamination out to the Gulf of Mexico.”

But a district court found that Citgo was particularly negligent, “improperly using the tanks to accumulate oil, sludge and oily wastewater at its treatment unit.” The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration later found that the oil was spilled “in a highly volatile and acutely toxic form,” which required the area to be shut down for days.

Thursday’s consent decree between Citgo and the U.S. and Louisiana governments said the settlement money will help “restore, replace, or acquire the equivalent of” the natural resources damaged or lost from the spill, as well as pay any remaining costs incurred in the investigation.

Citgo did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont (D) signs law making all prison communication free

Today, Connecticut Governor Lamont signed Senate Bill 972, officially making Connecticut the first U.S. state to make prison phone calls free for incarcerated people and their loved ones. SB 972 passed the state Senate and House in bipartisan votes over the past two weeks and was fully funded in the budget. Connecticut joins a growing list of jurisdictions across the nation in making prison and jail phone calls free, including New York City, San Francisco, San Diego, and Los Angeles. [...] SB 972 makes all communication in state prisons and youth detention facilities free, prohibits the state from collecting any revenue on the provision of communication services, and protects visits from being supplanted by communication technology. While the bill, as signed, has an an effective date of October 2022, the legislature is moving that date up to July 2022 through the budget implementer, which is expected to pass the House today and the Senate thereafter. The budget implementer also includes additional language that ensures that each person is afforded a minimum of 90 minutes of call time per day. [...] The proposed legislation was initially introduced by Rep. Josh Elliott as HB 6714 in 2019. While it passed out of both the Judiciary and Appropriations Committees, it was ultimately tabled when lawmakers failed to allocate funding. Democratic leadership committed to address the issue in 2020. Advocates continued to pressure Governor Lamont and Connecticut lawmakers to keep their promise to prioritize the prison phone justice bill in 2020. The bill was introduced again as promised, but before it could get a public hearing, the legislative session was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the start of the 2021 legislative session, the tide changed, Senator Martin Looney reintroduced the legislation, which was then taken up by the Judiciary Committee as SB 972. Following a 12-hour public hearing during which formerly and currently incarcerated advocates and their families testified in support of SB 972, the bill was passed out of the Judiciary Committee. Shortly thereafter, the Appropriations Committee funded the legislation in its proposed budget by allocating $11.4 million, and passing the bill in a 46-2 vote. SB 972 was passed out of the Senate in a 29-6 vote in late May and the House in a 94-51 vote last week.

Seriously, you don't fight someone who provides 95% of your imports when your domestic economy sucks to high heaven (centralized planning) and survive more than a fortnight (probably hyperbole, but Kim would capitulate in short order).

95% !

Do the math.

You've never studied Songun and its ideological underpinnings in depth, have you? The core foundation of the WPK is built on a willingness to fight quite literally the entire world if need be.

It's also worth noting that in addition to testing SLBM's under Trump (which, make no mistake, are the most dangerous weapons for the DPRK to have because it enables return strikes even if we achieve a total decapitation of the WPK) the North also stepped up its ballistic missile submarine program and photos from both 2019 and 2020 showed increased activity at shipyards to build more of them. But Trump made Kim stand down

All debunked. Read the damn links.

Nope.

Keep repeating propaganda, you wouldn't even convince anyone of your BS.

1) Amusingly and predictably, you cite a hit job that takes a single quote from Trump and spins it into a conspiracy theory that Trump is in Syria for "oil". However, the narrative of the propaganda piece collapses utterly juxtapose the energy independence of the US (thanks to fracking technology) and Trump's avoidance of oil related entanglements in more lucrative oil centers of the region. Moreover, Trump actually removed US troops after crushing ISIS to great criticism from hawks like Mad Dog Mattis, et al. So essentially that destroys the anti-Trump propaganda as well. For example, if Trump was in Syria for oil, why did he remove considerable assets after defeating ISIS?

2) I laughed at your diatribe of Kim's provocations (I really didn't laugh, but I was amused). Did you notice a consistent stream in your list? Yes, "short range" was the common denominator. Tactical short range missile tests of no strategic consequence. Indeed, NO nukes tests, NO ICBM tests, NO artillery barrages, NO submarine attacks, etc. as was the case on Obama's watch. Your post is a grasping of fantasy, minutia, and anecdotal nonsense to defy reality.

In sum, you can hate Trump because of his tweets or because your echo chamber of leftist sycophants hate him -- but don't hate Trump because of foreign policy. He sought to pacify foreign threats with personal diplomacy instead of costly and destabilizing wars. He disengaged from oil related foreign entanglements because he brought America energy independence and he rebuilt the US military, not as an instrument of offensive warfare, but to deter enemies like Russia, who coincidentally were not invading strategically vital regions like clockwork as they did on Obama's watch.

He disengaged from oil related entanglements? I don't think so: https://youtu.be/V6lf6wgQAnw

Hillary Clinton should retire from politics. If you throw an election to Donald Trump, you ought to be banned from ever running again.
