Dude, I would have loved to have the honor to hear Jeb Bush speak at Yale too. As I posted, I love Republican Jeb Bush too, Cubans love him and call him a Cuban at heart. Given the right circumstances, maybe. But you can't really know beforehand, before you try, if someone won't be able to change after 20 or 30 years. Giving a life without parole sentence is giving up before trying, and tying yourself in case what you didn't even hope for happen. We should never do that. We should always let a way back into society, for people who truly did better themselves.

The Democrats shouldn't have to compromise with the Republicans. When the Republicans have started to go this far off the deep end then there's no reason for compromise and every reason to get 60 in the Senate so we can finally get rid of the filibuster.
