I'll admit my point wasn't the best, but it's still a false equivalence. BLM is not a violent black religious supremacist movement like the KKK was for white Anglo-Saxon Protestantism, nor is there any evidence that BLM is threatening anyone involved in the trial. Until you can prove your claims (which, yes, you have to; the burden of proof* lies on the claimant), I'll take what you say with the smallest grain of salt.

Agreed, I think this trial is a colossal waste of time and resources because no matter how much evidence the prosecution presents, whether video or scientific, you cannot fight the justice system as a black person in America and actually win. I believe if an angel appears in court and testifies that the cop killed Floyd, the cop would still go free. Why, because if countless videos of the actual video isn't enough proof to convict the officers involved, then no proof will ever be enough. So just let him go already. There'll probably be a riot, more blacks will probably die as a result and couple months later everyone will forget about it and move on as if nothing happened.

He is getting a fair trial. His use of unnecessary force is being scrutinized by coroners, witnesses, an impartial jury, and an impartial judge in due process. That's literally the definition of a free trial.

I honestly believe that Chauvin will be found guilty and will go to prison. Call me an optimist, but I think that the jury will see all of this evidence and see that he’s guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt.

We know that for a fact that the amount of drugs taken was not enough to be a lethal overdose, in this case.

while we know that the level of drugs was lower than the normal amounts in DUIs or overdoses, we also know that on some occasions (unclear how many), people with less fentanyl in their system than floyd did have died
that said, floyd likely had at least some degree of tolerance built up, so it's unclear if that nitpick would be a factor anywy

For the most part agreed. For a very long time after slavery African Americans where intentionally kept poor by richer white individuals, and so the issue of race and class became highly intermixed within American society. Poor white people of course existed and where kept poor, but they did not for the most part have to deal with redlining or having their race keep them out of higher paying positions and away from education.

I don't really understand what reconstruction has to do with it. I personally, think that the race problems are due to the fact that a large amount of black people in the inner cities. People who live in inner cities, no matter their race, tend to turn out much worse than people who live in the suburbs or in more affluent parts of cities. That's just my take though.
