Well, that’s a very complicated question but I believe that it basically depends on how much a person did/is doing/is likely to do in the future for the nation and the country. Say, for example, why I am fully supportive of castrating criminals, convicted of severe crimes. Because if they have a children, what kind of children will they have? Can they raise them to be a functioning member of society? Most likely, they will not.

That there no way to scientifically define "races" within modern humans (yeah, Homo Sapiens and Homo Neanderthalensis could be scientifically considered different races of the same species, but modern humans are all Sapiens with a bit of Neanderthalensis) ?

Not guilty. That's right not guilty. If there is any reasonable doubt about a case and a charge, then it definitely shouldn't be a guilty verdict. You have to have absolutely no doubt that Derek Chauvin committed second-degree intentional murder. But there is plenty of reasonable doubt in this case. Now would I like to see Derel Chauvin go to jail and get punished, absolutely! But remember you have to separate what you want and your emotions from law and justice. If they decide on guilty, the justice system has failed Derek Chauvin.

I know I'm late - very late, actually - but in case anyone doesn't know what second and third-degree murder are, here's the difference between all three degrees of murder:

First-degree murder is premeditated, or planned beforehand, like someone being stabbed in the chest.

Second-degree murder is where the defendant meant to inflict serious harm but not kill them, like someone dying from torture.

Third-degree murder is only a charge in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Minnesota (the state Floyd was killed in). Third-degree murder is where the injury wasn't meant to kill or even grievously harm, like punching someone. I believe this is what Chauvin is most guilty of, but I can easily see an argument for second-degree murder. I don't think he was guilty for first, and I don't think he's being charged with it.

Note that it takes about 1000 to 1250 pounds to break a neck, but only about 11 to cut off oxygen flow. For comparison, an adult male's handshake usually has around 90 to 100 pounds of force.
