Boulder CO Grocery Store shooting, 10 dead

So according to multiple sources such as MSN and DM and a local news site in Boulder, Colorado at least 6 people dead including one cop with a suspect arrested after he opened fire with with a long gun.

Police were called to the store after hearing someone was shooting upon arrival they found a victim in the parking lot then the suspect started to shoot at them with a long gun of some type that was not specified. little else has been released since the first reports of shots around 3pm local time

I'm not sure what's worse, the fact mass shootings happen regularly in the USA, the fact they're thought of as 'just another day in America', any serious discussions about solutions haven't led to any solutions, or that this doesn't spark hundreds of consecutive days of protest.
