Ok if you say so. Why has no government announced any of the insane proposals other people have come up with here? Perhaps they know how unpopular it would be and that it would be career ending and likely lead to impeachment.

Because the western world is run by cowards who for the past half century have been unwilling to take measures needed to actually solve problems.

They are not cowards. if any executive tried to do what people have suggested the last few pages they'd be removed from office by whatever process that country uses.

We obviously need more TikTok dancing FRONTLINE HEALTHCARE HEROES to force more elderly people to die alone so that the DEADLY VIRUS doesn't spread any further. Remember that we are ALL IN THIS TOGETHER, especially the world's top 0.1%. Remember those celebrities singing "Imagine" from their mansions?

That being said, thank God for Texas and Florida...where is the IMPENDING DOOM our CDC director cried about a few weeks ago? She begged us as a mother, daughter, grandmother and whatever the hell else but it's just plain not happening. It'll happen in two more weeks just like the SUPERSPREADER BOWL.

I'm un-vaccinated and have no plans to change that any time soon..and in fact I've eaten out at restaurants every weekend since DeWine relaxed his orders (although thankfully they will be totally overturned soon). I estimate I killed 100,000 grandmas.

I have more experience with militia groups than most on NSG and I can assure you very few of those people are willing to actually fight. It's a hobby thing for most, which is what led to me drifting away from those groups.

Tell me why hasn't the government gone after them all? Why don't they announce the other insane proposals that have been discussed?

Spouting off is a protected right for one thing. Guys playing soldier/paintball/whatever in the woods in not a major concern. Sure they will be checked out if there is a large membership. Leaders for example if they rant about something and speak of violence, etc. Maybe a check of purchases; types of ammo, etc.

Other then that? Too many weekend warriors to monitor and little to gain from the effort.

Michigan is full of militia groups. engaging these people full on isn;t worth it and any ridiculous proposal you or anyone else has come up with is not going to be implemented by any government because of not only how unfeasible it would be but how unpopular it would be.

Few are going to support mass segregation based on getting one vaccine, walling off entire communities or mass arrests.

Reckless endangerment and child abuse seem to be appropriate for me, but then I am the sort that feels that religious conviction is not an excuse when it comes to ensuring the medical safety of children.

When it comes to children, I agree with you.

A parent's religious beliefs should always be overridden in any situation when it comes to something that preserves the health and life of the child -- blood transfusion, vaccination, accessing medical treatment for a dying child rather than just praying for God's intercession etc. -- but, at least in the UK, the COVID vaccine is not approved for minors yet.

If/when it is, it should absolutely become one of a child's routine vaccines (I have no issue with compulsory vaccination of minors at all). I also have no issue with not allowing unvaccinated young adults 18+ live in university housing -- we needed the full raft of vaccines when I was eighteen; my first week on campus, everyone was lining up to catch up with their jabs (I was already fully inoculated) -- and guidance requiring vaccination for certain high-risk occupations -- in the UK, guidance states that healthcare workers performing procedures prone to exposure should have the Hep B vaccine (although this is not law).
