ohhhh you are one of the private businesses can make up their own rules right? Third party vendors are expected to present the image of products. I did not know the Goorin hat company so I looked them up. Guess what was advertising on the web page? A black man wearing their products.
It made sense to let them know this third party vendor had mistreated a rather educated black couple who obviously had money as the products mentioned are not cheap. Further more it’s not a great introductory image for your product line to possible new customers who sees them along with the story of racism and anti-Semiticism.
Now as to an online mob? I don’t know. I simply forwarded the review mentioned and was rather polite about it being a message of “in case you didn’t know”. We ended up chatting and I got great advice for looking into new hats (a couple need to be replaced still beside the point).
Finally, here is the funny thing. Racism and anti-Semiticism are not good practices for business. Especially when you depend on vendors for product. The online mob you mention was all her fault. What made her decide a yellow star of david was a great idea to sell? It only opens the door for the review of their past and low and behold a review of mistreatment simply because they weren’t white. Gone are the days of obscurity where you could be a bad person.
