If we're going off these very general ideologies and worldviews from the opening post (nothing wrong with that, by the way), then I'd err towards liberalism. Although, a lot of those worldviews you listed aren't mutually exclusive. On the contrary, quite a few are interrelated and could be considered subsets or common ideas within a given umbrella ideology.

Either way, I choose liberalism not because I'm some standard American liberal on every issue, but because if I think of where I stand in the broadest sense, the ideas of individual liberty, freedom of association, equity, and secularism come to mind. I support limiting government where it is prudent to do so, which is why I still come out in favor of a fair-sized welfare state, public healthcare, and good governance in environmental and corporate regulation. Those are some facets of society where the government has a role to help out. But, in general, I'd like the government to butt out of issues related to individual freedom as much as possible.

I appreciate your feedback. It's best not to think of the "opposites" as really opposites in this context. They are intended to be complementary if desired — not a binary one or the other (e.g. anti-matter vs. matter) sort of thing. It is partly confusing and abstract but then again, so is ideology.

Gonna have to agree with Disgraces here. A republic can be either democratic or authoritarian because those two systems are not align with conservatism and liberalism as strongly as people believe. True the most well known authoritarian states in history were reactionary ones but proof that an authoritarian state can be on the left is the Italian Regency of Carnaro. That state pretty much predicted the counter culture of the sixties in the US due to how libertine it was for it's short life but the leader ruled with immense power and used some of the most famous traits of latter fascist states would be known for.

I want people to defend their moonshine distilleries with M60s they purchased over the counter in 5 minutes, that's pretty much my ideology regarding civil matters. As for economics, there should be a hard limit on what percent of your income can be taxed, maybe 5% for federal taxes, 3% for state, and .5% for local. We should do away with property taxes and give private citizens complete authority over what happens to that property, so long as it doesn't threaten the life or health of innocent bystanders. Corporate tax should be zero, inheritance tax should be zero. People should be able to start any kind of business without special government permits or taxes to sell certain products, like firearms or alcohol. A freer society is a happy society. Being from the US, I am for all the "America First" stuff, putting American interests above everyone else's.

However, I am most certainly not for legalizing hard drugs like meth or crack. There have to be some limits.

I don't doubt that changing the parameters of the poll would end in a different result. However, your suggestion will not be followed through with for 3 reasons:
1. Polls are limited to a max of 10 options by the forum itself — no more options can be added. Coincidentally, I limited myself to a max of 10 ideologies when creating this categorization system offsite.
2. Social liberalism is a variant of liberalism, this poll is meant to gauge general ideologies — at least limited to the options specified in this system.
3. Restarting the poll would be a waste of the existing votes and creating a slight duplicated variant of the poll (at least for as long as this one remains active) would be unnecessary.
