It depends on the company. If I'm with my extended family, I will probably say fuck only a few times if at all and only when there is a real need for emphasis. Whereas with shit, some variations are more acceptable than others. Like "that's bullshit" or "I almost stepped in dog shit today" or just a "shit!" if I drop my phone or something, all that is fine, but I probably will not be saying shit in reference to literal human excrement, moreover that topic probably won't come up at all, there are very few settings where people want to hear you talk about shitting. And most of my relatives do not want to hear cunt under any circumstance, that's just an American thing.

With my wife, I say fuck a lot but it usually has a purpose, often derisively referring to hated politicians and fucked up situations or just "that's the eighth fucking time someone has rang the fucking doorbell today I'm sick of it." This is also the case with some of my friends, liberal use of fuck but always with a purpose.

But there are certain friend groups where we all use superfluous and meaningless profanity because that's just how we've talked since we were kids and it stuck. But we also modify that depending on the setting. Fewer fucks sitting around a quiet McDonald's, more fucks inside a loud ass bar where you can barely hear anything anyway or if we're in a car together. If there's no one else around, a normal sentence probably sounds like "I woke up at fuckin nine this morning and found the cat puked on the fuckin couch so now I have to fuckin wash it and I'm like goddammit cat why the fuck can't you just puke on the floor, but you can't train a fuckin cat to puke on the floor it just doesn't fuckin work, their brains are too fuckin small, and I'm not gonna fuckin yell at the cat cause he's a dumb little cuntmuffin who doesn't know any fuckin better, but fuck man..."

My young cousin, now grown and married, was trying to get into an upstairs room at my late grandmother's house that her father had locked. After struggling with the doorknob for several minutes she came about halfway down the stairs, sat down, looked at the crowd of relatives and friends gathered in the living room and said, "GOD DAMN!" Obviously, it depends on the situation. If I'm in my grandparents' house during Islamic holy day where all the families gather, objectively not. On the other hand, swearing is basically encouraged if I'm hanging out and bonding with my close friends. Funnily enough, my family also allows swearing at home, as long as it's in English.

A thing to point out is that swearing has largely lost its taboo meaning, and morphed into everyday reaction-induced words along the lines of "ouch" and "ow". These days, racial slurs and mental health terms are much more insulting and unacceptable.
