My honest opinion is this:
I use to swear a lot, like so much it became part of my daily routine. But, I tried to curb it, even in writing/typing it. Why? Well first of all, cursing is used as filler words like Uh, Uhm, you know,etc. There are way better words, you got a whole dictionary. I like to say freak, gosh, or darn it.
Secondly for me it is in my beliefs wrong to curse, as I believe it goes against god. That being said does that mean that you have to stop cursing forever? No, heck no. It’s your personal decision. But (a big but) there are many people like me who get really uncomfortable when someone curses. Sometimes it can be unesscary when done excessively. I get it if you say the s world here and there ,but constantly doing it ruins the vibe. Bets of advice try to keep to a minimum when in public, and if your in a private setting with people who are not believed by cursing be free to do so.

I dislike swearing. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I do it, and I don't like that feeling at all. I am further discouraged to swear as there is a guy in discord I share with, that endlessly uses the N-word in every sentence. It was initially funny at first but later turned to this guy not having any sort of personality and thinks the best way to gain is to constantly say profanities which have the opposite effect by users in the voice channels trying to avoid encounters with him. I do find it sad that the guy hasn't figured that out yet but otherwise it served as another justification to not swear as I view people who swear a lot to lack a personality and need to wear a plastic mask to make it seem like they have one. If that makes sense to y'all.

Regardless of triggers, replacing a vowel with an asterisk accomplishes absolutely nothing.

I support trigger/content warnings, like if you have TW: rape at the top of a post that talks about rape so that people know and can choose to avoid reading it. But there is no reason to write out "r*pe", you're putting the word rape in a person's head, their brain automatically deciphers the asterisk. Now maybe some would say that seeing the word itself is a trigger, which is fair, but if that's the case then it would be preferable to replace the word in the trigger warning with something that conveys the same understanding. Like TW: sexual violence.

But the asterisks accomplish absolutely nothing and I've seen crazy uses of it, like w*ight, dr*gs, n*zis.

No, its usually not okay. There are at least some contexts where its seen as more appropriate but more often than not, it diminishes you. You come across as more rude, vulgar, or what have you for little gain. People can often accomplish far more verbally, without resorting to swear words.

It evokes more negative responses/emotion because swearing is in a way bringing negativity. These are weak words generally speaking, that don't take a lot of thought to express. Take the effort to use clean language, have dignified responses to as much extent as possible. Its worth it to have some class or restraint. It'll keep you out of more trouble than not.

Yeah it goes both ways, swears lose their power while once acceptable terms become slurs. Not only was retarded once a medical term, idiot, imbecile, and moron were all once medical terms as well. It is unpronounceable. In Spanish the x doesn’t make the same sound as it does in English when it follows a “n” and the “x” in general doesn’t sound the same in Spanish.

Latinx isn’t pronounced Latin-X in Spanish but La-Tinks which isn’t a thing. Which is why Latine is the actual gender neutral word and not Latinx.

I like to use it sparingly to provide more of an impact when I do swear, but the overuse of it has made that pointless outside of my already-established social circle.
