Your saying G-d doesnt hate gay people but disapproves of homosexual acts?

Also, homosexuality is not haram. Homosexuals relationships and intercourse are. People who engage in the aforementioned activities aren’t denied Janah if they’re good people who

b) have been misled about Islam
c) had no chance to convert to Islam

God in Islam is ar-Rahman and ar-Rahim. Given Islamically speaking most people who go to hell will eventually be moved into heaven (because God wants most people in heaven), I would imagine gay people who were accurately informed about the faith but chose not to follow it or who practiced Islam but engaged in the two activities without repenting would be among those eventually taken to heaven, if they would even be punished at all.

I know jack shit about Islam, but in Christianity it's assumed everyone has been exposed to God and had a chance, and thus there's no excuses for not being Christian.

Pretty much. There’s really no point to hell.

Also if you’re only doing good things or following your religion because your scared of going to hell are you even really that good of a person or really following your religion freely?

We should,
1. in order to discourage further crime
and 2. in order to protect the general populous from criminals.

The idea of hell may discourage crime, but no more so than any other religion's idea of consequence does. Meaning that even if Hell isn't real, there's no difference in discouragement.

Hell doesn't stop bad people from hurting people while they're alive, so it's not protecting anybody. And while people who go to hell can't reoffend, they wouldn't have been able to reoffend anyway because they're dead.

So the world where hell isn't really real is no different from one in which is is real. Thus, hell is pointless.

Well not exactly. Basically the whole thing operates on a binary spectrum which is defined by "distance to Yaweh" (i would interpret that as sphere of influence) with being hell the place of zero-percent and fartest away.

So in other words it's a cool place with blackjack and hookers.

I would agree that numbers are probably rising due to acceptance of others and of self. The amount of people is probably very proportionate all throughout history, but it wasn't talked about or was actively hidden. There's lot of different instances where people were "roommates" or "just chose to never take a wife" and as cultures have changed to become more inclusive of everything, this aspect of humanity is right there along with it. Women having thoughts and opinions was once thought of as taboo, too, but eventually it changed as the generations against it died out, things changed. Sexuality is a spectrum and always has been, we just talk about it more now then we ever have before.

so, i checked out the underlying poll
the overwhelming winner here wasn't LGT
it was bisexuals
by far, they're the most common
More than half of LGBT adults (54.6%) identify as bisexual. About a quarter (24.5%) say they are gay, with 11.7% identifying as lesbian and 11.3% as transgender. An additional 3.3% volunteer another non-heterosexual preference or term to describe their sexual orientation, such as queer or same-gender-loving [...] Rebasing these percentages to represent their share of the U.S. adult population finds 3.1% of Americans identifying as bisexual, 1.4% as gay, 0.7% as lesbian and 0.6% as transgender

The reason why the number of people identifying as LGBTQ is rising is because the times have changed, I think. In general, people have become much more tolerant of such matters. Religion is becoming less and less important, with atheism well on the rise. That allows people to become more open-minded and tolerant, because they no longer hold onto viewpoints that are severely outdated, in my opinion. On top of that, science is proving time and time again that being LGBTQ is okay, and totally natural. Heck, there's so many examples of homosexuality appearing in many species across the globe. I believe the last estimate was that there are 1500 species on Earth in which homosexual behaviour was found. That to me is clear evidence that being gay, bisexual, asexual or whatever else is exactly what nature intended.

So yes, people aren't afraid as they used to be, and dare to come out as LGBTQ more often these days. It is my hope that open-mindedness will continue to grow throughout society in the coming years, so that one day in the (near) future no one will bat an eyelash at people having different sexual orientations.

Celebrate nature's infinite diversity, do not condemn it.

More like millennials grew up in a time where it still was socially stigmatized to a much greater degree.
