When I first read this, I thought it was a joke post. But now I see. It looks strange to me, but I guess it is their culture.

To me it looks like Iran's theocratic regime is afraid of its people challenging their Islamist rules and needs to tighten them up to avoid "unruly" women. Something something evil west is trying to corrupt our women and all that.

Yes, and despite the memes it's not because of anime and more probably due to how wildly unhealthy Japanese education and work culture is. People have no time to make families.

Correction

Japan has a declining population because of its declining birthrates. It has little to do with the education system they have in place. That said it is part of their culture to a degree to dedicate your life to work. Most Japanese actually are just too busy working to think of procreating and the pandemic only ensures that this continues

but to offer my opinion on the matter it just makes me glad i dont live in a country that believes that it should be governed by the laws of their religion. Theocracy is a backwards form of governance
