Hunting animals yes, however hunting people should not be banned.

Actually I hunt with a crossbow so I don’t need a license I only need to be certified in a hunters Ed class.

Not only that, but if you are accompanied by a legal adult you can hunt as young as 8 in some places of the US.

You can still hunt at lower than that age. I'm younger than 21, and have legally hunted and killed 2 elk and a Pronghorn Antelope in my life.

Pronghorn is good. It makes really good sausage/snack sticks, and the medallion steaks from backstraps are really good too. It's a little tough, and very lean, because Pronghorn run a lot, but it's still tasty.

While I don't know the percentages, from personal experience I do know that most people I know will take what they realistically need or can fit in a freezer, then either donate or give away the surplus so as it doesn't go to waste. Hence where a majority of the meat in my example likely came from.

That's one hypothesis, that they're storing food for later (although that's unlikely to me, considering scavengers will most likely get the carcasses first). It's equally hypothesized that they do it for killing experience, which you could say is "for fun".

Well that should be illegal. We have meat inspectors for a reason: it's to stop unscrupulous farmers from selling unhealthy meat to dumbass city consumers who think there's nothing wrong with it.

"Wild" meat is even more likely to have parasites or diseases, and if the hunter won't eat it themselves, then there should be harsh penalties for trying to sell it without inspection.

And I'd double the penalty for selling, if it's donated. Don't ask me to give someone who is only interested in killing animals, credit for salving their conscience by "donating to charity". The actual fuck.

I have hunted. I don't enjoy killing. Sure, there's an adrenaline rush, but the emotion isn't exactly positive. It's more of an act of necessity, really.

If necessary precautions are taken to ensure the meat is safe for consumption, I see no problem in donating or selling it.
