Hitler and Hirohito were trying to create their own version of NAFTA, that's all.

You could make the argument that the concept of the euro came from the prewar Reichsbank

"Asia for Asiatics" in propaganda. "Asia for Japan, asiatics as slaves" in practice.

It's really depressing to think that it was well meaning liberals who dreamed up the co-prosperity sphere and had to live through the army turning it into a Frankenstein monster

I don't care. You defend genocidal empires, unironically support a Jewish supremacist militant group, advocate for WW3 against China, then backtrack when people mirror your proposals. In my book you're generally a horrible person.

Everyone hates you because of the reasons I cited.

You can make the most horrible actions, concepts, ideas, or objects and turn them into euphemisms to make them socially acceptable to hide your real goals.

Jesus, people need to go outside or something and stop defending Japan's war atrocities because of anime girls or whatever. If you think Japanese colonialism and events like the rape of Nanjing and Bataan Death March were a good thing, kindly re-examine your moral alignment.

Batan death March. Thankfully the kingdom of Bhutan was spared the horror more than its neighbors.

Japanese war atrocities are not as well known, especially compared to things like the Holocaust and other things the Germans did.

Understandably so. Around here when people think of Japan they think anime and robots and pop culture. I'm sure walking around with a rising sun t shirt hits differently in the Philippines.

Those two names aren't even pronounced the same.

Sure but Kiyoshi Miki sure as heck didn't do that, the dude thought up the thing then got tortured to death for hiding a communist from the cops.
