I took two anatomy classes in college and I still have no clue what the appendix is for other than randomly making you deathly ill and needing to be removed

it's a scam invented by doctors to make people need more surguries

Wellll if it gets inflamed it can sorta you know kill you.

I know of one researcher who had it removed as she was going to go into areas where doctor care wasn’t readily....timely available. Why? She knew someone who died from a burst appendix.

I remember reading about that guy. There was an Australian in WW2 who did the same while fleeing the Japanese.

oh, now that i think about it, there's actually a book about this several actually, but i'm thinking of a specific one with a white and green cover whose title i can't seem to remember, pretty sure it was actually more along the line of "worst scientific discoveries" since i found it in a discovery place gift shop-
what i do remember though is margarine, but more specifically the process used to create trans fats, partial hydrogenation. turns out they really fuck over your cardiovascular health.
