In short: once again humanity will land on Mars to find answers to pressing questions like "was there once life there?". "Does the evil Witchqueen truly has a palace there" and ofc "can the Americans beat the Chinese again ?"

Let us hope it will not crash.

Note: "live" is relative. The delay is about 10 mins due to the distance between Mars and Earth.

Ah, there we go.

15 minutes until it happens, 25 minutes until we know.

Wasn't able to find which one the timer was counting.

But here's to hoping we get a new rover on Mars and a drone instead of a crater!

The Perseverance rover has four science objectives that support the Mars Exploration Program's science goals:
-Looking for habitability: identify past environments capable of supporting microbial life.
-Seeking biosignatures: seek signs of possible past microbial life in those habitable environments, particularly in special rocks known to preserve
signs over time.
-Caching samples: collect core rock and "soil" samples and store them on the Martian surface.
-Preparing for humans: test oxygen production from the Martian atmosphere.
