Why would I need to impress a girl? I'd just wait until the others are dead from fighting the jaguar and be the one left.

Smart but I feel I would be second to last boy.

Foods ARE chemicals. Whether the fructose in your food comes from fruit, or manufactured in a lab, chemically, they are the same. That said, agriculture is very important since growing food is the most efficient way to get it. Chlorophyll beats the pants off of even the best solar panel when it comes to energy conversion.

Right, chlorophyll is key to renewable energy.

I don't think I could live on one due to the distance from anything and the amount of driving involved but I have tremendous respect for the people who do all that hard work and how important they are to everyone else.

One way or another.

I don't see how you can possibly make that assertion in a matter-of-fact way.

The poster doesn't want, booze, sex and eyesight at the age of 50, I am thinking him making that assertion is spot on for him.

Correction on my last statement.
Civilizations and empires tend to last around 250 years.
The Industrial System, as it is a global system, may be viewed as a global empire.

The government structure is oligarchical and federalized (every nation communicates with each other diplomatically), the rich upper class is the West, the lower class is all the third world countries which sustain the West economically.
I believe the Industrial System does exhibit many similarities with an empire or other sort of civilization.

Therefore, it will likely collapse around 2110. Or, if it isn’t the industrial system, it is the global system. Then we might expect a collapse by 2200. I believe this to be true.

The Industrial Revolution started at about 1760-1780, which means your following estimate is incorrect:

Using the 1760 date above, and taking your 250 years estimate as true (it's very dubious in actuality though), then industry should either already be collapsing or have collapsed. Sorry buddy, really not seeing it.

Total societal collapse doesn't happen very often.

I am sorry to inform you but those tribes farmed too.

Hunter gatherer tribes don't farm. They hunt and they gather. It's in the name. It's more likely that thaï start raiding the farming tribes and take them as slaves to start slave society all over again.

Ted was not a Anprim, he hated them.

The era in which it became relevant to the topic at hand, when industrialism went global, is the 1860s or so.

Ive read him. Relax. I use "anprim" as a blanket term for anti industrialism or stone age preferers or whatever/
