The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

The most fundamental problem of politics is not the control of wickedness but the limitation of righteousness.

It has subjected humans to unnatural conditions- agriculture has existed for something like 2% of human existence compared to the 98% of our existence being hunting and foraging.
Before agriculture, we quite literally could do anything we wanted. We had control over our lives, a connection to the land, nature provided everything for us, we lived the life we were designed to live.

Ah yes, 35 year life expectancy, living in caves and crude huts, all time and energy devoted to making sure you don't starve, must be quite a life. Tell me, why aren't you out there living that wonderful life right now and instead using creature comforts of technology and civilization to argue about it with people?

My thoughts exactly.

That may be what it sounds like to you but life back then was never quite safe you could die then at any minute. Also if you want to go back to that time why are you using screened technology?

Because nobody ever heard of anarcho-primitivism before the internet. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if anarcho-primitivism as a concept came to full fruition thanks to online communities, making anarcho-primitivism a memetic product generated by the synthetic machine age.

These conditions are tolerable enough, and I have considered hunting and foraging. But simply, there are too many laws that prevent this.

It's amusing how folk say that they'd do this, but it's blatantly obvious they'd hightail it out of there to the nearest hospital as soon as they get a booboo.

Back in the stone age, we didn’t even have a concept of time. We didn’t care to live long.
We lived a full life in our prime, and died when our body began breaking down, living and surviving being harder and harder.

And as well, you can easily live off the land without having to live in huts built from your own turds. Go apply for an allotment. Start growing food in your garden. Go hunt. Go forage. Do all of that knowing you had a nice bed to climb into when its all over.

These conditions are tolerable enough, and I have considered hunting and foraging. But simply, there are too many laws that prevent this. Most neo- hunter gatherer tribes have to live on land they own themselves.

There you are right but still why don't you just do something about the laws?

Seeing that you need to ask I think you've already missed the joke. What was said is near irrelevant "honk for deindustrialisation" or something like that.

That sounded a lot less dickish in my head.

What it said is irrelevant, it's the mere existence of it that is the point.

I don't see how you can possibly make that assertion in a matter-of-fact way.
