But he's not. That's the point. Condemn the hatred you believe he spawned. Not the man. It does less than nothing.

I would call forgiveness and letting go of hatred for someone who is gone as being more important than showing off your wit by insulting a dead man myself, but that's just me.
I mean.. we probably insulted him when he was living as well, it's just he kind of faded as a force so he wasn't relevant, his death makes him somewhat relevant again and so there's no reason not to remember what an awful human being he was. Otherwise what do we need to write here, just 'ok', or 'god bless him and his family'..
..he left a legacy that is part of why Trump came to power, the use of toxic partisanship and laughing at the poor, needy or disadvantaged to the point of gloating over their deaths.
He doesn't really deserve much respect.

This is James Golden, Rush Limbaugh's studio producer, manager, and broadcaster.
Please explain to me why a black man would stand in the presence of a racist for thirty years.

I would say it's more a way of developing a healthy outlook in the world and not allowing things that are no longer relevant to drag you or others down.
No longer relevant? Limbaugh cast a long shadow over the history of the last 30 years and the years to come. His death doesn't end that, and virtue signalling by prayer or well wishes to the family changes nothing. It serves only as a public declaration of 'virtue'.

If somebody were suggesting the things he said held merit, you might have a point, but given every other post in this thread not directly attacking the man was simply saying RIP or offering condolences to his family, you don't really have a leg to stand on with the argument that you're countering some sort of hateful influence.

When I suggested counseling, I wasn’t implying you’re mentally ill, but if how people feel about a subject keeps you up a night, like you claimed, that’s not healthy. It denotes distress and you ought to talk to someone. Not sure how you jumped from that to other implications but boy! Here we are.
