Curiously enough, I would have thought it would have been Pinochet or Galtieri or Videla or Vargas.

No, I strongly agree with Rojava, the best well know Dictator and supported by many persons, VIPs and world leaders of nations was Fidel Castro Ruz of Cuba, my native nation.

I once tried to K Me. Posted It and Reported. Locked by Mods. I am Autistic accounts for Repetitive Nature. I am Very Civil and Respectful to all on NS and off NS. My Opinions Are Not Bad Opinions No Ones Opinions Are Bad Opinons. We are on NS, to share, discuss, argue, disagree, on Trump, elections, Republicans, Democrats, Socialists, Libertarians and whatevers, with respect. This Respect Is Given It Is Not Earned, This Respect Is Called Freedom of Expression and Democracy. This Man Always Says What He Means, I Am The Real Thing. I Make Ted Cruz look like a Leftist. I have been on NS For over 10 Years with a Perfect Record of No Baiting, Trolling, Flaming, or Using Foul Language. I Am Very Proud of It and Wish To Keep My Record Clean. But I Am Not The Only One On NS. GMS. I'm Based.

Castro absolutely did some bad things, that are inexcusable.

However, his leadership was easily a net positive for Cuba, without question.

Though I think it's important to remember when assessing world leaders that virtually none of them are innocent and virtually none of them have clean hands, Fidel is in the upper half of "least awful".

That said obviously, crimes are crimes, and though his have been greatly exaggerated in most cases, he certainly is guilty of doing some terrible things (some of which he even apologised for later in life, which even though that is the bare minimum, is more than can be said for most politicians).
I'm a socialist.
Some kind of Marxist, don't ask for a specific tendency because I don't really have one.
