There have been attempts to remove polling places, particularly in areas that are majority black. There have been attempts to end church to polls, which is an African American get out the vote thing where churches bus their congregation to the polls. There have been attempts to make it difficult to get IDs because the hours of the DMV are so short and not on weekends.
