For example, countries with more trees tend to have more births. This is because having more births and having more trees are both associated with having a larger country in general. In this case, you don't have to be genius to deduce that there's a link between increased government spending and fewer deaths during the pandemic. That being, of course, increased capacity in government welfare programs and more money for vaccine rollouts, both of which very obviously prevent people from dying.

The bubble was caused by the excessive loan growth quotas dictated on the banks by Japan's central bank, the Bank of Japan, through a policy mechanism known as the "window guidance". In doing so they helped inflate the bubble economy to grotesque proportions."
