Because, if we followed your reasoning:
1. It is illegal to rescind/invalidate EO's.
2. Therefore EO 9066 authorising military and civil officials to "quarantine" hostile foreigners is still on the books.
3. You are a foreigner.
4. If war happens between Cuba and USA you become a hostile foreigner.
5. Therefore the officials of Florida are authorised by the still legitimate EO 9066 to "quarantine" you in a concentration camp.

Or we could invalidate/rescind EO's.

Abolitionism in the North has leagued itself with Radical Democracy, and so the Slave Power was forced to ally itself with the Money Power; that is the great fact of the age.

The triumph of the Democracy is essential to the struggle of popular liberty

Refusing to be responsible Is what wrecked Greece. Their leaders were more interested in keeping their personal popularity than making the cuts they needed to keep themselves stable.

Don't forget tax evasion (which fueled the massive fiscal deficit) and lack of monetary flexibility (the Euro).

1. Correlation doesn't equal causation, surely you know that. For over 60 years straight the Washington football team winning or losing their last home game correlated with the president being defeated or reelected. Do you honestly believe those two are connected?

3.It's stating a fact. If we're that concerned about the economy we should open back up.

Like for real, California Valley Talk, as I used to live in Palo Alto California. S L, Gravlen, Therm and even GMS, :) lol, had an awesome discussion on legal immigration and illegal immigration, with respect towards each other. A few others made certain contributions to the discussion on legal immigration and illegal immigration as well.

You're abusing this phrase. Correlation doesn't equal causation, but it also doesn't imply non-relatedness.

For example, countries with more trees tend to have more births. This is because having more births and having more trees are both associated with having a larger country in general. In this case, you don't have to be genius to deduce that there's a link between increased government spending and fewer deaths during the pandemic. That being, of course, increased capacity in government welfare programs and more money for vaccine rollouts, both of which very obviously prevent people from dying.

The US is monetarily sovereign and, further, it's largest debt holder is itself. The United States isn't going to bankrupt itself.

Vaccine rollouts aren't affected by stimulus checks though. I find it far more likely that the downward trend in deaths is caused by the vaccine, and people wearing masks. And welfare programs won't prevent people dying from covid. Anyone can claim two things are related, doesn't mean they actually are.

 O Wise One, please enlighten me, how spending money into vaccine distribution and social programs does not decrease deaths. I'm sure you have evidence to back up that claim.

2. Eh, the lost decade was at least in part caused by poor responses. More "too big too fail" and bailouts especially.

Japan had a credit housing bubble in the 80s mostly because of the Plaza Accord doubling the exchange rate value of the US dollar versus the yen between 1985 and 1987, which fueled a speculative asset price bubble of a massive scale. The bubble was caused by the excessive loan growth quotas dictated on the banks by Japan's central bank, the Bank of Japan, through a policy mechanism known as the "window guidance". As economist Paul Krugman explained in The return of depression economics and the crisis of 2008, "Japan's banks lent more, with less regard for quality of the borrower, than anyone else's. In doing so they helped inflate the bubble economy to grotesque proportions."

3.It's stating a fact. If we're that concerned about the economy we should open back up.

For now it is, doesn't mean that it always will be. And interest payments are going to just continue to grow. There's no reason we can't spend responsibly. I doubt it would break our back to find 970 billion in savings out of a budget that's about 5 times that.

"It was golden, purple, violet, gray and blue. It lighted every peak, crevasse and ridge of the nearby mountain range with a clarity and beauty that cannot be described but must be seen to be imagined. It was that beauty that the great poets dream about but describe most poorly and inadequately..."
