Abolitionism in the North has leagued itself with Radical Democracy, and so the Slave Power was forced to ally itself with the Money Power; that is the great fact of the age.

The triumph of the Democracy is essential to the struggle of popular liberty

California has led the world in saying alot but doing little. At least you're in first place as a state when it comes to virtue signaling and pretending to be concerned.

So let's say an unaccompanied minor crosses the border. What do you think should happen next?

Make an effort to find there parents, put them up in a daycare center with lots of amenities to keep the child(s) entertained and safe while we find the parents, after parents are found return child to them.

First of all, you're jumping too far ahead. A kid has just crossed the border, surely the first step would be to get them food, shelter, and a medical check-up? That means you have to take them somewhere to get that sorted. So where would you take them?

You may make an effort to find their parents. That means you'll have to find someone who speaks their language, and interview the child. Where will the child stay while you're starting the investigation?

A daycare center may be nice (is it suitable for a 14-year old?), but they can't sleep there. What about schooling? How long would you keep the child in a daycare center while you were searching for their parents?

What if the parents aren't found?

I feel like that answer is so clear-cut, I don't know why people on our side feel the need to defend it just because a Democrat is in charge of it now. Does a Dem in charge of these camps somehow make them more humane? Less ethically and morally wrong?

The Dem will slap a rainbow flag on it and call it "progressive", much like with drones. ;)

Looks like the mistake was focusing on increasing green technology use rather than reducing fossil fuel use.

D.C. easily beats us in both of those categories, although I suppose it's not technically a state.

It's a little harder in California, they have legitimate reasons to be shy of expanded nuclear power. Hyperactive fault lines, for example.

Touche indeed, but all of those were before the Unholy Trinity struck Japan and showed the risk of building more plants so close to a fault line. On the other hand, Tsunami risk isn't particualrly high, either.

The day care center would also have food, snacks, doctors, a place to sleep.

There would be age appropriate entertainment there too.

Infact this daycare would be more of a resort/hotel sort of thing.

Right now this would be easy, funding for the unused hotels and resorts beacuse lack of tourism from covid.
There would be also online schooling/local schooling too.

If parents are not found, we may have to make a hard choice of puting them up for adoption either in the states or there former contury of residents.

I think a two month investigation would be enough time for each parent case. After that we would have too put them up for adoption.

I'm not saying this is the best solution, but it's better then the Trump plan of "yeet them in a cage lol".

I guess fair enough, but the fission plants will be a stop gap. Switch to fusion the second we can.

Hmmm? Don’t you have to come up with alternatives?

You have many other states who have done little to nothing. Climate change is a fraud after all.

Sure, I can see why. Though I'm more worried about what the big one will do to other infrastructure. Fukashima, while disastrous, was also nothing compared to the actual earthquake and tsunami.
